Today's to do list

I have to go to this committee meeting about the course today. - the Journalism Course Board, to give it its official title. Unfortunately, it's been set up to start at 3.30, so we'll have to finish an hour early. It means we have a lot to pack a lot in  - because we really have to get the group blogs up and running this Monday.

So here's today's to do list. 

First - I think everyone should write a test post - post it on your individual blogs if you like. That way, you can compare notes on style/headlines/linking etc and make sure that you're all working in the same way.

Second - Delegate in your groups so you can tackle the different things that need doing. You need to sort out the blogroll/link list on your site, sort out the design, do some research so you can identify some potential subjects for your posts and work out a production schedule - who's covering what, when they're going to post etc.

If we get time, I'll go over the draft email interviews I asked you to put together. If there's time, one person from each group should be delegated to email Camilla Chafer with the questions.

Again, if we get time, I'll go over some ideas about linking and link text and we'll talk about how to market your blog. We'll also talk about the Clive Thompson piece, Blogs to Riches, which I asked you to look at last week...
